Memorial services for Albert "Al" Johnson are scheduled for Wednesday, October 23 ^rd at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore.

Albert "Al" Johnson was born November 26, 1955 to Mary Lou (Mason) and Raymond Gene Johnson in Ponca City, OK. He passed from this life on October 16, 2019 in his home at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 20 days after a lengthy illness.

Al was a graduate from Ponca City High School in the class of 1974. He married the love of his life, Tammy Kay Bryant, on May 1, 1989 in Newkirk, OK. They made their home and raised their kids in Ponca City where he worked with his dad at Johnson Glass. In 2003 they moved to Ardmore where he worked at East Jordan Iron Works. He medically retired from Dollar General Warehouse in shipping. As a member of the First Baptist Church Al taught third grade Sunday school as long as his illness allowed.

Al loved our Lord Jesus Christ, laughing, playing, teasing, and studying the Bible. He loved all sports, whether playing, coaching (including his son Matt in baseball to a State Championship in 1997), refereeing, or umpiring. Al was especially fond of Penn State Women's Soccer and OU Football. He loved life and lived it to the fullest! Al was a good man, one of the best and God only takes the BEST!

Al was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Gene Johnson; son, Matthew Cameron Johnson; father-in-law, Jerry Bryant; brother-in-law, Tim Bryant and both grandparent who he adored.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy of the home; mother, Mary Louise Johnson of Ponca City, OK; daughters, Kara Dawn Cook of Happy Valley, PA and Samantha McGee of Chicago, IL; Step-son, Mark Wesley Perkins, II and his wife, Corinne of Tulsa, OK and Michael Perkins and his wife, Laura of Tulsa, OK; sisters, Debbie Duran her husband, Mike of Ponca City and Becky Lietke and her husband, Dale of Morrison; brother, Tommy Rogers and his wife, Krista of Houston; grandchildren, Brodie Lane, Katelin, Wyatt, Mason, and C.J.; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, church family, and his 3 Dogs, Holly, Poncho, and Hannah.
