Alvin Lesley Tankersley was born September 3, 1939 to Hattie Ann (Vaughn) and Lester Fountain Tankersly in Cheek, OK. He passed from this life on July 16, 2022 at the age of 82.

Alvin was a graduate of Lone Grove High School in the class of 1958. He was a farmer and worked at the telephone company for 40 years.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Hattie Tankersley; brother Herman Tankersley; sister Irene Bridgman; and great granddaughter Everly Tankersley.

He is survived by his sons Dion Tankersley (Kristi) and Justin Tankersley (Nicole);  grandchildren Brandon Tankersley and his wife Iva; great-granddaughter Brinley Tankersley; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Josh Blakley officiating. Interment will follow at Cheek Cemetery.

Brandon Tankersley, Woody Wood, Joe Wood, and Ryan Wood will serve as pallbearers.
