Memorial Services for Bernice Ellis are scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Paul Rex Stewart officiating and BeBe Bridges memorializing.

Bernice was born in Springer, Ok. to Pete and Grace (Stanley) Stewart on February 15, 1928.  She passed this life on March 23, 2024, in the local hospital.

She began her early working career at AT&T but worked for the Daube's Department Store for most of her career.

Billie enjoyed quilting, painting and cooking. But, her favorite was her backyard family gatherings every summer.

She and Jack Frank Ellis were married February 15, 1948, in Gainesville, Tx.

She is survived by her two sons, Jerry and his wife Deanise Ellis of Ardmore and Rudy Ellis of Ardmore; her brother, Paul Rex Stewart of  Frisco, Tx;  Granddaughter, Lyndsey Ellis of  Choctaw, Ok.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Grace Stewart and her husband Jack Ellis; sisters, Barbara Holder, Marquita Stewart; brothers, Finis Stewart, Joe Stewart and Ira Stewart.
