It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill Clayton Barton, son of Clayton and Francis Barton. Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl. He is survived by his loving wife Nettie, son Jeffrey, and grandchildren Rachel Bartgis, Jessica Cheairs, and Amanda Marr, and Jeffrey and Millie Barton.

Bill graduated from Willson High School in 1959. He married the love of his life Nettie Goss on August 24, 1959 and joined the United States Army. He later attended Ardmore Business School. They were blessed with Children Jeff and Cheryl. Bill was an avid racquet ball player and won many tournaments. He loved being hospital minister with Dr. Virgil Trout. Bill retired from Ardmore Drilling and became owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics. He enjoyed being in charge of the Ardmore Tigers chain gang for many years. After he retired, he enjoyed spending time with his 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his Merrick Drive Church family.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
