Bobby Ray White

Bobby Ray White was born April 20, 1932 in Nocona, TX, to William and Nona Lois (Black) White. He passed this life on June 4, 2018 in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Bob was a graduate of Capital Hill High School in Oklahoma City. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, and fought in the Korean War. He and Peggy Geraldine Carter married on August 1, 1950 in Oklahoma City. They had been married 67 years and were members of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Bob retired as a sales representative for the Cain's Coffee Company.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; son, Gerald White and his wife, Pam White of Tulsa, Ok.; daughter, Loretta Dodge and her husband, Terry Dodge of Ardmore; grandchildren, Casey Dodge, Chris Dodge, Preston White and Jordan Ford; great grandchildren, Kylen Dodge, Carter Dodge, Caden Copeland, Kate White and Brody White.

Bob never met a stranger, he loved visiting with people. He enjoyed attending his grandson's football, basketball and baseball games. Over the years, Bob served in many different capacities in the churches he attended. The love of God was reflected in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a Great Grandchild, Brooks Coleman White.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at the Ardmore Veterans Center for their loving and professional care. Also, we would like to thank Rev. Donny Custar for the many encouraging visits with Bob during his stay at the Veterans Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Donny Custar officiating.

Pallbearers will be Casey Dodge, Chris Dodge, Preston White, Joshua Ford, Gene Foust and Phil Atkinson.

Memorials can be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 120 Veterans Blvd, Ardmore, Ok. 73401.
