Carol Ann
Baldwin
Jun 14, 1942 — Sep 7, 2025
Ardmore
Our beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and aunt, Carol Ann Baldwin, passed away and joined her husband, Stanley Lynn Baldwin, in heaven on September 4, 2025. The memorial service to honor her love and stoutheartedness will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, at Craddock Memorial Chapel.
Carol Ann was born in Southgate, California, on June 14, 1942, to Albert Keith Shafford and Dorothy M. Shafford. The eldest of five sisters, she was always considered the 'rebel' of her family for her spirited demeanor, a trait that will be missed by all who knew her. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Stanley Lynn Baldwin. Theirs was a love worthy of admiration in its devotion, patience, and utter authenticity.
Together, Stan and Carol Ann established Baldwin's Restaurant and Drive-In in 1976, which remained in operation until 2024. There, over hot stoves and behind homey countertops, they served thousands of customers. Carol Ann spent countless hours creating new recipes and hunting up new ideas to incorporate into her restaurant's menu. Outside of her time as a business owner and chef, she spent her days painting, reading, listening to music, and delighting her family with her snappy, humorous attitude.
Carol Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lynn Baldwin; her father, Albert Keith Shafford; and her mother, Dorothy M. Shafford. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carey Baldwin of Ardmore; two granddaughters, Ireland Baldwin and Ana Stratan of Cambridge, MA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Paul Eagan of Ardmore, Peggy and David Kirkpatrick of Ardmore, Vicki and Andre Orluc of Geyssans, France, Pam and Tim McConville of Wasilla, Alaska; sister-in-law, Kathy Pettit of Hewitt, Texas; and a whole host of nieces and nephews: Steven Cochran, Lara Burnside, Amy Flanagan, Julie Kepki, John Kirkpatrick, Benjamin Orluc, Nathan Orluc, Emily Lee, Elizabeth Fine, Emmanuel McConville, and David Pettit.
Carol Ann was loved by many and will be missed by all.
