Lone Grove
Funeral services for Carol Jane Rutledge are scheduled for 11:00 am, Wednesday at the Lone Grove First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore. There will be a visitation Tuesday evening at the Craddock Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00.
Carol was born December 21, 1933, in Ardmore to Earl and Lois (Price) Kelty. She passed this life on February 26, 2022, in Marietta, Ok. She graduated from Lone Grove High School in 1952.
She and Charlie Rutledge were married on June 10, 1955, in Lone Grove. She was a member of the Lone Grove First Baptist Church for many years. Carol was retired from the Lone Grove School System where she had worked in the library.
She and Charlie made several annual trips to Branson, Mo, with a local travel company. She loved those trips and the memories they made with new friends and old ones and looked forward to them every year. Carol's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Charlie, sons, Kevin Rutledge and his wife Ginger of Amarillo, Tx. and Chad Rutledge and his wife Marnie of Lone Grove; daughter-in-law, Paula Rutledge. Grandchildren, Heather Rutledge, Eric Rutledge, Cassie, and Coleton Crockett, Stormie McPeak, Logan Rutledge and Fiancé Jordan Dunn, Gavin Rutledge, and Kegan Rutledge. Great Grandchildren, Rainee, Parker, and Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Charles Steven Rutledge, brothers, Jerald Dean Kelty and Joe Bob Kelty, granddaughter, Amy Dawn Rutledge.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Coleton Crockett, Jordan Dunn, Tim Chaffin, Brandon Twyford, James Rutledge, Jeff Rutledge. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric, Gavin, Kegan Rutledge, Rob Rutledge, and Tim Beard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lone Grove First Baptist Church Building Fund, 16773 US Hwy 70 Lone Grove, Ok. 73443.
