Cathy Lynn Brown was born April 4, 1955 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Luther Grady Hobson and Harriett (Johnson) Hobson. She passed from this life on May 3, 2021 in New Mexico at the age of 66. Cathy and Bobby Lee Brown were married on July 4, 1975 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2018.

Cathy spent most of her life as a daycare provider until her retirement to be her husband's caregiver.  She was known for her huge heart and her giving spirit; she never met a stranger.  She had a loud, infectious laugh that was contagious.  If you knew her, you loved her.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Luther Grady Hobson and Harriett Mae Hobson and husband Bobby Lee Brown. She is survived by her daughters Kristen Rychlik and husband Jamie of Red River, New Mexico, Amy Muse and Ronnie Landrith of Bowie, Texas, grandchildren; Jordan Paxson and husband Tanner of Midland, Texas, Tyler Buenting and wife Josie of Sanger, Texas, Hunter Paige Rychlik of Ardmore, Logan Roberts and husband Michael of Ardmore, Jaden Muse of Ardmore, Haddi Rychlik of Red River, New Mexico. Great grandchildren; Kinsler Paxson, Lily and Thomas Marsh, Kamryn and Kash Roberts. She is also survived by her brother Wayne Hobson and wife Tammy, sister Sharon Ward and husband Donald Sr., her mother-in-law Florence Brown, Ardmore and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Tyler Buenting, Jaden Muse, Brenden Hemenway, Michael Smith, Paul Smith, and Greg Castellow. Honorary bearers will be Tanner Paxson and Michael Roberts. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Todd Davidson officiating. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
