Charlene "Lolly" Olallie Segelstrom was born August 26, 1946 to Inga (Evanger) and Theodore Raymond Knutson in Kenmare, ND. She passed from this life on February 19, 2022 at the age of 75.

Lolly attended a small one room country school and then went on to attend Kenmare High School where she graduated in the class of 1966.  She was Homecoming Queen & Cheerleader Captain.

Lolly was raised on the family homestead in rural Kenmare, ND about a mile from the Canadian border. She knew the value of hard work and carried that on throughout her lifetime.  She helped grandma bake bread daily for the family, cooking and cleaning at an early age as well as helping with the garden and farm chores.

She learned to sew at a young age, making curtains for her room as a first project.  She grew her talent and would go on to make much of her children's clothing early on, as well as creating many beautiful dresses for her sisters and herself.

This creativity flourished into other areas; renovating homes, she was "shabby chic" before it was even a trend.  She became a master of taking something old and tattered and bringing new life to it.  Lolly called her creations "Perfect Imperfection".  As children, mom made sure we never knew just how poor we were, this fueled her passion to continue creating. "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton, that fit Lolly to a T!

She most definitely had the spirit of a traveler.  Lolly was never afraid to go on the next adventure life had in store for her.  She was always looking for that next great place.  She lived in St. Paul, MN; Vancouver, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Idaho Falls, ID; White Rock, NM; Bowbells, ND; Broomfield, CO; Arvada., CO; Edgewater, CO; Buena Vista, CO; Littleton, CO; Wheat Ridge, CO; Lakewood, CO; Denver, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; Guam, USA; Havre, MT; Miles City, MT; Lake Havasu City, AZ; Twin Falls, ID; Burneyville, OK.  Yes, she mastered the art of moving and being a minimalist.

Lolly loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.  She always said that having children was the greatest gift and heartache all at the same time.  She worked many jobs; credit bureau, phone company, title company but where she thrived was in the service industry.  Lolly found her niche as a waitress & bartender and later in life she went on to work in a casino, a retirement home as a cook and then a personal caregiver.  She loved making people laugh and telling jokes was her specialty.  She worked tirelessly, sometimes two jobs, to care for her children and we are forever thankful for her lesson in hard work and love.

Lolly was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Inga Knutson; seven brothers; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughters Althea Meador and her husband Justin of Burneyville, OK, Deidre Agan and her husband Dave Ofalt of Forsyth, MT; sons Thad Knutson of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Lawrence Agan of Alamogordo, NM; grandson Anthony Naylor of Miles City, MT; granddaughter Alexxis Naylor of Twin Falls, SD; Brothers Tony Knutson and his wife Virginia of Ferndale, WA, Truman Knutson and his wife Marilyn of Soldatna, AK, and Truel Knutson and his wife Vivian of Easley, SC; and 59 nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held with immediate family.
