A visitation for Charles "Sonny" Wooten is scheduled for Thursday evening from 6-7 pm at the Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore.

Doug was born July 1, 1955, in Fort Worth, TX, to Milton and Billie Sue (Robinson) Wooten. He passed this life on May 3, 2024, at his residence in Ardmore.  He and Johnnie Standridge were married in Las Vegas on August 9th, 1992.  He retired from WinStar Casino. He served his country in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Johnnie; two daughters, Heather Skinner and her husband Jonus of Lone Grove, Pepper VanBuskirk, and her husband Ronnie of Lone Grove; son, Timothy Wooten and his wife Tandi of Duncan, Oklahoma brother, Ronnie Wooten and his wife Edwina of Arlington, Tx.; sister, Anita Ashley of Oklahoma City; step-daughter, Angela Black and her husband, Gene of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Brendon Rushing and (fiancé Nyja), Zachary Skinner, Kennedy Underwood, Alyson Underwood, Lexi Gilbert, Taysha & Josh Elliott and Zander; great granddaughters, Delilah Jones, Addison, Jaelyn & Blakely Elliott; great grandson, Henry Elliot, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Douglas, parents, niece, Ami Lowe, brother-in-law, Les Ashley, and great nephew, Wylie Cantrell.
