Coletta Marlene Williams was born March 8, 1920 to Mita (McKissic) and W. B. Cosey in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on July 22, 2021 at the age of 101.
Coletta was a graduate of Douglass High School in the class of 1938. Upon graduation she enrolled at Langston University where she studied elementary education. While at Langston, Coletta joined the Zeta Phi Beta sorority. On June 24, 1941 she married Ennis Williams in Oklahoma City, OK. Coletta was a teacher's aid for Tatums and Franklin schools. She was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church where her entire family also attended.
Coletta was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Mita Cosey; husband, Ennis Williams; brother, Monroe Cosey; sisters, Doris Turner and Jessie Renkins; sons, Randolph Williams, Leonard Williams, and Malcom Williams; and grandchildren Cora Lynn and Shad.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Williams and his wife, Carolyn, Bernard Williams and his wife, Dorothy, and Jonathan Williams and his wife, Jacqueline; sister-in-law, Marjorie Cosey; daughter-in-laws, Kaye Williams and Patsy Williams; grandchildren, Kenny, Maurice, James, Anita, Alicia, Jamila, Jamal, Bryan, Angela, and James; great grandchildren, Devin, Erica, Maurice Jr., Regina,Anita, Dwayne Jr., Alan, kadare', Alanna, William, Asia, Anthony, Adam, Jerry, Jr., Vyna Gene, Andrane, Iretta, Amilah, Amari; and great-great grandchildren, Malaiya, Madison, Cooper, Lincoln, O'mare, Lilliam, DJ, Caleb, T'nai, A'rielle, Ava, Aliyiah, and Allison Grace.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 30 th at 11:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Craddock Funeral Home.
Jamal Williams, Bryan Williams, James Wilson, Dwayne Taylor, Maurice Wilson, Jr., Bernard Taylor, and Greg Wood will serve as pallbearers.
