Memorial Services for Constance Ruth "Connie" (Travis) Varon will be at 2:00 pm Saturday February 21, 2026, in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Kevin Ratterman officiating and inurnment will be in the Craddock Funeral Home Columbarium following the service.
Connie was born Saturday September 20, 1941, in Peekskill, New York to Edward V. and Helen (Sieber) Travis and died Tuesday January 20, 2026, in Bedford, Texas at the age of 84 years and 4 months.
She grew up in Crugers, New York. She attended and graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School and went to Nazareth University in Rochester, New York where she received her Sociology and Psychology Degree. After college she moved to Germany and was director in the US Service Club in Heilbroon, Germany. There she met Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Aaron Varon, and they married on January 25, 1969. They settled in Ardmore, Oklahoma and had two sons. Her son Jason Varon preceded her in death along with her husband. She is survived by her son Marc Varon and daughter-in-law Laura along with her daughter Valentina in Dallas, Texas; her granddaughter Sophia; her brother Eddie Travis in Austin, Texas; her sister Cynthia Webb in Tulsa, Oklahoma and her wonderful nieces and nephews.
Connie's passions in life were her boys, working in real estate, remodeling and building homes, traveling, and playing the violin. She loved the violin and was 1st chair in the New York State Orchestra. In Ardmore she played in the Ardmore Quartet and in the Nutcracker with the Oklahoma Symphony.
If desired, it was the request of Connie that memorial contributions be made in her memory to your favorite charity.
