Coye "Wendyle" Andrews, Sr., was born at home in Fobb, Okla., to James and Winnie (Dewberry) Andrews on June 28, 1938. He passed from this life on September 25, 2023, in Ardmore.

In 1950, Wendyle and his family moved to Russett where he graduated from high school in 1956. He went on to attend Southeastern University before transferring to Oklahoma State University where he graduated in 1960, with a degree in accounting. He worked for the Federal Government for over 30 years before retiring and working as a private accountant.

On August 12, 1960, he married Ruth Coles, and the couple went on to have three children: daughter Katie, son Coye and daughter Karen. They were married just shy of 55 years before Ruth's passing in 2015. He cared for her at home during her final years while she struggled with
Alzheimer's.

On June 17, 2017, he married Euna Eggenberg. The couple spent six happy years visiting with family and friends, traveling and enjoying each other's company. She cared for him at home during his final years while he battled cancer.

Wendyle never met a stranger. He loved to talk and always had a funny story to tell. He was also incredibly handy and could fix anything. If you had problems with your car, refrigerator, electricity, plumbing or anything else, he could get you fixed up.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; his daughter, Karen Andrews; his brother, Wayne Andrews; his wife Ruth Andrews; and his granddaughter Kristin Roberts.

He is survived by his wife Euna of the home; daughter and son-in-law Katie and Joe Matthews; son and daughter-in-law Coye and Marilyn Andrews; grandson Drew Butler; grandson-in-law Clay Roberts and great-grandsons Warren and Reid Roberts; granddaughter and grandson-in-
law Sarah and Greg Thompson and great-granddaughter Leah Thompson; grandson Wendyle George Andrews; granddaughter Mary Andrews; sister Wanda Sue Talkington; brother Winford Andrews; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Upon marrying Euna, Wendyle gained a bonus family who all loved him very much. He is also survived by Gerald Scarberry, Cheryl and Lis Hearrell, Michelle and Joey Minitre, Kristie and Neil Robnett, eight grandchildren and their spouses, and eleven great-grandchildren.

A visitation for family and friends will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 29 at Craddock Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 30 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
