Dan Franklin Roberts Jr., 64, passed away on the evening of April 8, 2026, in the hospital due to heart complications.
Dan was born on August 23, 1961, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Dan Franklin Roberts and Velma Lloyd Roberts, both of whom preceded him in death.
Dan spent much of his life working as a mechanic and welder and was known as a skilled and hardworking handyman who could fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed working with his hands, tinkering on projects in his shop, and helping others whenever something needed fixing.
He loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and valued the quiet moments doing the things he enjoyed most.
Dan is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Cathy Southers Roberts; his son, Trae Roberts (37), daughter-in-law Chancie Merritt-Roberts (34); his son, Brady Roberts (27); and his daughter, Tricia Roberts (18). He is also survived by his younger brother, Charlie Roberts, and his older sister, Penny Roberts Reid, as well as several surviving aunts, uncles and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dan will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his ability to fix nearly anything, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Private, family, services will be held at a later date.
