Memorial services for Franklin David Rickard Jr. are scheduled for Saturday, 10:00 am in the Emmanuel Baptist Church with John Miller officiating.  There will be a time of reflection held at the Craddock Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5-7.

Dave Rickard was born on April 25, 1954, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Franklin David and Coletta (Huskey) Rickard. He passed this life in an Oklahoma City hospital on November 5, 2022.

After graduating from high school, Dave went to Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  There he received his degree in Education.  He would later obtain his master's from East Central University.

He and Brenda Stilwell were married on June 6, 1981. Brenda came with the blessing of two boys that were added to Dave's world that quickly became his family. Brenda preceded Dave in death in 2009.

Later Dave would meet Sarah Lewis, with whom he would spend the rest of his days.

He started his career in education in Plainview, Texas. In 1980, accepted the job of coach and biology teacher at Ardmore High School.  He coached cross-country football and was head coach of the Boy's and Girl's Golf teams.  He coached State Championship golf teams in 1989 and 1990 and was an All-State Coach and Oklahoma Coach of the Year in 1990. In 1994 Dave became the Head Principal at Wilson High School, and he stayed there until he retired from Education in 2006.

Dave is survived by his love, Sarah Lewis, of the home; sons, Matt Orr of Meade, Oklahoma, and Casey Orr and his wife Krista of Ooltewah, TN; Sarah's daughter, Marissa Vinson, and husband, Casey.  grandchildren, Evelyn Orr, Jenner Orr, Bryson, and Blakelee.

He is preceded in death by his Parents and wife, Brenda.
