Obituary

Services for David Thomas Quintana,98, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 27th, at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Ardmore, with Father Kevin Ratterman officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. A Rosary will be Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home with a visitation to follow.

Born December 29th,1924 at Bartlesville to Mary Jesus Gamino and Melecio Quintana, he died December 16th, 2023, peacefully at home. David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Emmanuel, Raymond, Fred, and Bill, Quintana, and sisters, Beatrice Sanbrano, and Betty Jane Taylor.

After turning eighteen, in December 1942, Dave enlisted in the United States Navy and served for the duration of WW II. He achieved the Rank of Signalman Third Class and saw "Action" in the South Pacific and later the North Atlantic.
After the War he graduated from College High School in Bartlesville and then attended Phillips University, Enid. There he met the Love of his life Dolores Patricia Gilliam.
They married February 3rd,1951 in Enid. After a year working for the United States Post Office in Bartlesville a move to Tulsa and later Owasso occurred. Dave worked as an Accountant for the Sinclair Oil Company which later merged with Atlantic Richfield. David and Dolores moved the family to the Dallas area in North Texas in 1969. After 33 years of service, he retired and enjoyed the next 38 years of leisure.

Active in his Church (St Henry's Owasso) he served as secretary/treasurer as well as Men's Events. Coaching Little League Baseball and supporting local school's projects. Later years as a bilingual educator.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dolores Gilliam, Allen, TX, his three son's Tim(with wife Jamie) Pottsboro, TX,  Anthony, Allen, TX, Thomas(with wife Jenny), Plano, TX, daughter Tina, Dallas, TX, and his grandchildren Dylan, Dallas, and  Aly(Tim and Jamie)and Thomas II (with wife Brittany), Plano, TX Joseph David, Denver, CO and Jackson, Luke, and  Eli (Thomas and Jenny)and sister Leta Weathersby, Wichita, KS and brother Robert Quintana, Tulsa, OK; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family friends.
