Ronald David Vernon, passed away from this life on June 2, 2021. A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 9 ^th , 2021 at 11am, at Craddock Funeral Home, 525 South Commerce, Ardmore, Oklahoma.

David was born in Ardmore, OK on May 8 ^th , 1954 to Roswell Douglas Vernon and Nancy June Hart Vernon. The Vernon Family moved to Ardmore in 1969. David was a graduate of the 1973 class of Ardmore High School and attended both Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. David was most happy while helping others, spending time outdoors, wood working, reading and studying alternative medicines.

David was preceded in death by his Father Doug and his mother Nancy. He is survived by his son, Robert Daniel Vernon and wife Cacy of Ardmore, three siblings, sister, Suzanne Bigbie and husband Basil of Spicewood, Texas, sister Jennifer Spak and husband Don of McKinney, Texas, brother Mike Vernon and wife Melissa of Lucas, Texas, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Additionally, David is survived by numerous close friends and extended family, especially, Josh Boyd and wife Kristi and their daughter Lilly of Ardmore.

Honorary pallbearers are Pat Ponder, Jim Porter, Tom Love, David Ruth, Keith Boyd, Grant Vincent, Alex Grissom and Frank Coachman

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the general scholarship funds at Oklahoma State University or the University of Oklahoma.
