David Wayne Watson was born December 30, 1954 to Martha (Postoak) and Frank Watson at Tinker Air Force Base. He passed from this life on June 10, 2023 at the age of 68.

David was a graduate of Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, TX. Upon graduation he enrolled at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence. David spent his career on the road as a truck driver.

David enjoyed his time outdoors, fishing, shooting guns, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was also very skilled at model airplanes, cars, and train sets. Most of all, David enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids competing in sports.

David was preceded in death by his mother Martha Watson; and brother John Watson.

He is survived by his son David "Smiley" Watson, Jr. and his wife Micah; daughter Andrea Hale and her husband Valentino; father Frank Watson; brother Glen Watson; and grandchildren Anthony Hale, Alyisha Hale, Aryissa Hale, Bradford Watson, Leila Watson, and Ezekiel Watson.
