Funeral services for Deatra Carol Burnam will be at 11:00 am Saturday November 25, 2023, in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Gary Gunsolus officiating and Eythan Tibbs assisting. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Ardmore, Oklahoma with Landon Adamo, Collin Adamo, Cash Burnam, Rylee Burnam, and Conner Burnam serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Burnam, Levi Burnam, Tyler Burnam, Matt Pratt, and Brad Flanagan. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, November 24, 2023, at Craddock Funeral Home.
Deatra was born Sunday October 22, 1950, in Childress, Texas to H. H. and Reba (Smith) Davis and died Tuesday November 21, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years and 30 days. She was a member of The Shed at Provence for many years. She was a member of many educational organizations. She married Charles Burnam on June 14, 1968, in Ardmore, Oklahoma and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on July 11, 2023. She served as the executive secretary to the Superintendent of the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center for 51 years.
She is preceded in death by her mother and husband. She is survived by her father, H. H. Davis of Oklahoma; daughter, Charla Adamo and her husband Steve of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, Kevin Burnam and his wife Melissa of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, Rick Davis of Louisiana; brother-in-law, Ricky Burnam and his wife Barbara of Oklahoma; sisters, Debbie Pratt and her husband Gary of Oklahoma, Fara Dyer and her husband Ed of Colorado; grandchildren, Landon Adamo, Collin Adamo, Cash Burnam, Rylee Burnam, Conner Burnam and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
