Deborah Lynn (Smithers) Winkles was born August 6, 1954 to Geneva Uytonia (Williamson) and Glenn Russell Smithers, Jr. in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on January 23, 2021 at the age of 66.

Deborah "Debbie" was a graduate of Dickson High School in the class of 1973. Upon graduation she went to cosmetology school and worked with her mother at Geneva's Curl and Swirl. Debbie later enrolled in nursing school and graduated in 1998. On February 14, 2013 she married Ron Winkles in Gainesville, TX.

Debbie enjoyed many crafts including staining glass and sewing. In her younger days she made many of her own clothes. Debbie also had a love for animals and helped them whenever she had an opportunity.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Glenn Smithers, Jr.; and brother Clifford Smithers.

She is survived by her husband Ron of the home; children Misty Borza and her husband Joe of Ardmore, Jerry Gardner and his wife Anitra of Wylie, TX, Jason Porter and his fiancé Stephanie of Ardmore, and Blake Porter of Ardmore; mother Geneva Smithers of Ardmore; and grandchildren Michael Sundeen, Kaden Gardner, Kason Porter, Jager Porter, Brooklyn Porter, Kalissa Borza, Wylie Porter, Kyler Gardner,    and Trey Borza,

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 26 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Br. Roy Fountain officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Cedar Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Ron Winkles, Jerry Gardner, Jason Porter, Joe Borza, Kaden Gardner, Jager Porter, Rodney Winkles, and Michael Sundeen will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Wylie Parker, Kyler Gardner, Trey Borza, and Blake Porter.
