Memorial for Donald Ray Howard will be held Friday evening on November 17, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Craddock Funeral Home chapel.

Donald Ray Howard was born to Bobby D. and Mildred (McCluskey) Howard in Dumas, Texas on January 17, 1951. Donnie passed from this life on November 13, 2023. Donald grew up in Lone Grove, Oklahoma and graduated from Lone Grove High School in 1969. Double majoring in math and science, he obtained his associate's degree from Murray State College and completed courses through Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Donald worked for several years as an assistant manager at Humpty Supermarket and retired from Uniroyal/Michelin after 32 years of service in maintenance. Donnie married the love of his life, Wanda Choat, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma on December 14, 1984. Together, they raised four beautiful children who gave them many grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retiring, Donnie and Wanda traveled the world, including nine visits to his favorite spot—Hawaii, a trip to Mexico, his first time out of the country and a retirement wish fulfilled, Alaska. Donnie was a jack of all trades, who could do everything from playing music to roping horses. He loved to pick the bass and played both acoustic and electric guitars. In addition, Donnie excelled at math and spent many hours building computers.

Donnie's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

Sister: Shirley House of Lone Grove, OK;

Nieces: Melinda Landreth and husband Bobby of Lone Grove, OK, and Carol Minley and husband Marcus of Denton, TX;

Grandchildren: Asa Ross and wife Luna of Ardmore, OK, Tesla Teague and husband Waylon of Duncan, OK, Justis Webb of Ardmore, OK, Damian Pierce and partner Logan Faulkner, Rigen Howard and wife Audri Howard of Lone Grove, JaDe Webb, of the home, Lone Grove, OK, Lita Owens of Lone Grove, OK, and Davine Norton of Duncan, OK;

and Eight Great-Grandchildren.
