Donna Jean Blount (Dishman)

Graveside services for Donna Blount are scheduled for Monday, May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery with Debra Fields officiating.

On May 18, 2023, Donna passed from this Earth at the age of 63 and was welcomed into the arms of our Lord. She was born on June 15, 1959. She grew up with a Baptist background and graduated from Ardmore High School in 1977, which is where she met the love of her life, Robert. They started dating at the age of 16 and then became lifelong partners on August 13, 1977. Donna retired from Ardmore City Schools and if you were one of the many kids that got to walk through her line in the cafeteria, you knew you were about to get some delicious food. She was an avid lover/supporter of The Pride of Ardmore. She went to all the football games and helped chaperone the band trips while her daughter, Kayla, was in The Pride. Donna was loved by many and will be forever missed but not forgotten.

She was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Vernon and Billye Briscoe, J.W. and Myrl Dishman; Parents: Jim and Helen Dishman and her brother, Joel "Joe" Dishman.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years and 9 months, Robert Blount; Daughters: Billie Dunkin of Ardmore, Kayla Manuel and husband, Josh, of Ardmore; Sister: Sheila Wood and husband, Tony, of Ardmore; Grandchildren: Christyn, Adrianna, Miranda, Kaden, Lauton and One Great Grandchild: Braylee; numerous nieces and nephews and two special daughters: Bridgett Hanus and Sarah Spain.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the ICU nurses and staff at Mercy Memorial in Ardmore and Cross Timbers Hospice for being so kind and helpful throughout this difficult time.
