Dorma Lee (Henson) Claypool was born April 8, 1940 to Zelliene (Beck) and Alton Raymond Henson in Healdton, OK. She passed from this life on April 9, 2026 at the age of 86.
Dorma was a graduate of Wilson High School in the class of 1958. She married Harold Claypool on March 6, 1959 in Healdton, OK. They made their home in Ardmore and she began working at Sears in the service department. Dorma was a Heartland Conference Minister for Grace Place Church in Ardmore, OK.
She and Harold enjoyed traveling and were able to make their dream trip to Israel. Some of Dorma’s favorite moments were shared with family camping, playing games, sewing and gardening.
Dorma volunteered as a ministry leader for Celebrate Recovery, and enjoyed working as a volunteer to feed the homeless on Wednesdays. She and Harold served on The Heartland Conference RV Team, doing construction and prayer trips to assist Heartland churches. They were part of a 10 person prayer team.
Dorma was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Zelliene Henson; brother, Al Ray Henson; and husband, Harold Claypool. She is survived by her sister, Katrina Test, daughter Debbie Kneggs and husband Chris; son Kevin Claypool and wife Laura; grandchildren Taylor Kneggs Siler and her husband Clint, Tara Kneggs Montgomery and her husband Max, Keevin Claypool, Miranda Claypool Cortiana and her husband Kyle; and great grandchildren Brady Siler, Cole Siler, Wyatt Montgomery, Lilly Montgomery, Wesley Montgomery, and Logan Montgomery.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dan Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home. Keevin Claypool, Clint Siler, Max Montgomery, Brady Siler, Cole Siler, and Chris Kneggs will serve as pallbearers.
