Obituary

Funeral services for Dorothy Clark will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Richards officiating. The service will be limited to family but will be livestreamed for extended family and friends. A link to the livestream will be provided on Dorothy's page at www.craddockfuneralhome.com Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Dorothy Clark was born September 26, 1927 to Joy (Flemmings) and Pitney Barnett in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on April 28, 2020 at the age of 92.

Dorothy was a graduate of Ardmore Douglas High School in the class of 1948 where she played the saxophone in the band. Upon graduation, Dorothy enrolled in Langston University to study cosmetology. She married Willie Clark in Ardmore, OK. From this marriage they had two children, Willie and Norman. While in Ardmore, she was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness. Dorothy worked at Agers Plumbing as a bookkeeper. One of her favorite hobbies was cooking. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Pitney and Joy Barnett; husband Willie Clark; and son Willie H. Clark.

She is survived by her son Norman Clark and his wife Alice of Gainesville, TX; grandchildren Dwayne Clark, Sherry Clark-Hall and her husband Toby, and Angela Mallory and her husband Nelous of Upper Marlboro, MD, Lovie Washington and Greg Price of Nashville, TN, Tony Gooden of Clinton, MD, and Jaylyn Sanders of Gainesville, TX; great-grandchildren Ariel Loftis, Ashley Carr, Aleah Pointer, Amber Pointer, Aaron Pointer, Jada Clark, Tobias Clark, Ryan Hall, Camren Hall, and Kendall Hall; and 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Dwayne Clark, Tony Gooden, Aaron Pointer, Mikkel Phillips, Azriel Phillips, and Tobisa Clark are honorary pallbearers.
