Funeral services for Eldon Stevenson are scheduled for Saturday, November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Matt Benedick officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Eldon Wilfred Stevenson was born on January 8, 1933, in Temple, TX. On December 5, 1953, he married the love of his life, Louise Jennings, and together they built a beautiful life and raised four children.

Eldon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years as a crew chief, including service during the Vietnam War. He retired with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Throughout most of his career, he was stationed at Altus Air Force Base, where he made lifelong friendships and lived out his calling with dedication and honor.

Following his retirement from the Air Force, Eldon and Louise made their home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He enjoyed the simple joys of life—gardening, hunting, and spending time with his family. Eldon was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Mannsville, Oklahoma, where his faith remained a steady anchor throughout his life.

Eldon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Stevenson; his son, Roger Eldon Stevenson; his son-in-law, Scott Hofmann; as well as his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his daughters:
Eldonna and her husband Mike Evans, Sherra and her husband Steve Barbour, and Sandra Stevenson.

His grandchildren:
Michael Evans and his wife Michelle, Raymond Evans and his wife Jackie, Scott Hofmann Jr. and his wife Erin, Stuart Hofmann and his wife LaTesha, Crystal Cook and her husband Chris, Shelby Palmer and her husband Jacob, Seth Morgan, and Jacob Morgan.

His great-grandchildren:
Tyler Evans and his fiancée Robyn Howe, Hailey Evans, Gunner Evans, Maison Evans, Addison Hofmann, Halle Hofmann, Jesslynn Twomey, Margaret Hofmann, Devan Twomey, Jordan Hofmann, Ella Palmer, Anna Palmer, and Robert Hofmann.

His great-great-grandchild:
Catherine Louise Evans

He is also survived by his sister, Beatrice Austin and her husband Don, along with several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Eldon will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his deep love for his family, and his lifelong commitment to service. His legacy of strength, devotion, and kindness will live on in all who knew and loved him.
