Services for Evelyn Alyce (Aston) Ballard will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018 11:00 AM at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Evelyn was born October 3, 1934 in Bristow, Oklahoma to James Perryman Aston and Edna Tiny (Saltzman) Aston. She passed from this life on July 19, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 83. She and Donald R. Ballard were married February of 1952 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Evelyn loved the outdoors, nature, fishing, Lake Murray (especially Pecan Grove), painting and cooking. She enjoyed taking care of others and worked as a nurse for over 25 years. Her family and grandchildren meant everything to her. Evelyn was a devout Christian who taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and was of the Nazarene faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Mabel Shamas, Elizabeth Davis; two brothers James Aston, Alsey Aston and a granddaughter Heather Chaney.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters LaDonna Chaney and husband Dennis of Ardmore, Beth Hayes and husband Paul of Edmond, OK.; son Donald James Ballard and wife Christine of Palmer, Alaska; 6 grandchildren Mena Wayne of Palmer, Alaska, Amber Chaney of Ardmore, Aaron Ballard of North Pole, Alaska, Austin Hayes of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashley Hayes of Edmond, OK, Aiden Hayes of Edmond, OK; 4 great grandchildren Audree Hayes of Oklahoma City, OK., Austin Hayes, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK., Cael Wayne of Palmer, Alaska, Brogan Wayne of Palmer, Alaska; niece Emilee Fisher of Bristow, OK. and numerous other family and friends. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org .
