Gary Steve Aycox went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2025. Gary was born June 22, 1949, in Ardmore. He was the son of Steve Ellis and Doris June Aycox.

Gary married Margaret Mize on June 24, 1972. Gary met Wanda Upky in February 2004 and on September 13, 2023, they were married in Norman.

Gary graduated from Healdton High School in 1967. He worked in the oil and gas industry for almost 50 years as a roustabout, field foreman and independent consultant over drilling, completion, workovers and well production.

He enjoyed woodworking, building furniture and he loved to travel. He obtained his pilot license in 1988 and bought a Cessna airplane. He loved his dachshund, Coco, and they were inseparable.

Preceding him in death are his parents and daughter, Nicki Aycox-Raab. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, his son Steve and his wife Erin Aycox and grandchildren Colin and Lorelei Aycox, Wanda's daughter Patti and husband David Singleton and grandson Matt Singleton. Three brothers, Dale and wife Jan Aycox, Joe and wife Kim Aycox, and Jay and wife Ann Aycox. His sister, Carol and husband Chris Davidson. Plus, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel in Ardmore, Oklahoma with Reverend Bruce Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home in Ardmore.
