Memorial services for Gene Scrugham, Jr. will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018, 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Gene was born August 31. 1947 in Ardmore to Gene Scrugham, Sr. and Eva (Zidzick) Scrugham. He passed from this life on November 10, 2018 in Ardmore at the age of 71.  He and Carol Vanway were married on April 14, 1967 in Ardmore.

Gene was the owner of Ray's Hallmark Gifts and Office Supply store in Ardmore for many years, and a member of the First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Elk's Lodge, Masons, and Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Blanche Scrugham and his parents Gene, Sr. and Eva Scrugham.

Gene is survived by his wife Carol of the home; daughter Gena Nalley and husband Patrick of Corinth, TX; sons Richard Scrugham and wife Erika of Celina, TX, Chris Scrugham and Tammy Key of Ardmore; brother Lonnie Scrugham of Florida; mother-in-law: Rosie Vanway of Ardmore; brothers-in-law: Mike Vanway, Jim Vanway and his wife Marcella; grandchildren Matthew Hodges, Wesley Hodges, Johnathon Hodges, Joshua Hodges, Blake Scrugham, Kelsey Scrugham, Mikaylan Downing, Reace Downing, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends  andhis best buddy "Tucker".
