George W. Larson was born May 9, 1936, in San Diego, CA, and passed away October 11, 2022, in Ardmore, OK. He, his mother Marion Taylor Larson, and his sister Jan lived in many different places in his childhood but eventually settled in Bakersfield, CA. He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1955. It was here in Bakersfield that he met his wife of forty-three years, Mary Ellen Collier, who preceded him in death in 2007. Together, they had one daughter, Mary Ann Keester (formerly Larson). For many years, George worked for the oil industry - primarily with Getty Oil Co and later with Chevron. In 1993, George and Mary Ellen returned to his wife's hometown of Ardmore, OK. Their daughter Mary Ann joined them later and his two grandchildren, Kalina and Tristan, were raised in Ardmore with their grandparents a constant loving presence. He is remembered by his family as a hardworking, loyal, dependable man who was a blessing in their lives.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Keester of Ardmore, his grandchildren Kalina Harvey and husband Landon of Ardmore and Tristan Keester of Ardmore. Per George's request, the family will celebrate his life privately.
