Guy T. Ledbetter was born April 28, 1940 to Pete and Alyne (Longino) Ledbetter in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on October 15, 2019.
He graduated Ardmore High School in 1958, where he was a legendary quarterback. He went on to attend Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and Southeastern University in Durant, Oklahoma.
Guy T. married Midge Henderson, February 17, 1961, and they settled in Ardmore to raise a family, where he remained selling oilfield equipment.
His one great love was his wife Midge of 58 years. Guy T. also had a passion for the game of golf. He enjoyed the fellowship with his golf buddies just as much. Guy T. loved to entertain, either with a song and guitar or by making people laugh at his many stories told . . . whether true or not.
Guy T. wore many hats in his life and was a great salesman; he had a gift of gab like no other. He began his working career by joining his father's drilling company. Guy T. went on to become the Sports Editor at the Daily Ardmoreite and Disc Jockey at KVSO. After ten years employment at Uniroyal he retired in 1980. He and his wife opened "The Edge" nightclub and many more lifelong friendships and great memories were made. In 1993, they opened "Time Out" restaurant, a sports bar and grill. After the restaurant was sold, he was fully retired and truly enjoying the best part of his life, playing golf every day. In this sport he so loved . . . he won two hole in ones!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Alyne Ledbetter and many lifelong friends.
