Hazel Marie Miller was born October 3, 1951, in Amarillo, Tx. to Lewis Chapman Shafer and Margie Vivian (Romero) Shafer. She passed this life on March 30, 2023, at her residence in Ardmore.

Memorial services for Hazel are scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2023, at 3:00 pm at the Saddle Mountain Cowboy Church in Channing, Tx, with Pastor Dan Shipley and Pastor Jacob Vincent officiating.

Hazel graduated from Channing High School in ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­1971.

She and Larry Gene Miller were married on September 20, 1968, in Channing, Tx. She retired from the Channing ISD, where she was the Custodian, and worked at the Cal Farley Boys Ranch.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Larry of the home; daughter Connie Dove and her husband, Tommy of Ardmore; son Larry Lyn Miller and wife Renee of Channing, Tx.; son, Lewis Lee Miller, and wife, Tandy of Channing, Tx.; sister, Vicki Reynolds of Channing, Tx.; her Grandchildren, Mercedes Weathersbee, Tina Surtees, R.L. Miller, Austin Lindsey, Amber Moss, Kerry Miller, Ashton Hays, Mikalee Miller, Destinie Jones, Blake Mounsey, Dyllan Smith and Carson Dove and 31 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Shafer, Brother, Bobby Shafer, Mother, Margie Shafer, and brother Danny Shafer.
