A Celebration of Life Service for Reverend Herbert Hoover "H.H." Davis will be Monday December 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at Crystal Rock Cathedral, 2005 12th Avenue, Ardmore, Oklahoma with Reverend James Schaedler and Reverend Gary Gonsolus officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Flanagan, Kevin Burnam, Cash Burnam, Steve Adamo, Landon Adamo, Adolfo Patterson, Cinco Patterson, and Jason Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Pratt, Collin Adamo and Conner Burnam.

A time of visitation and support for his family and friends has been scheduled from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday December 8, 2024, at Craddock Funeral Home, 525 South Commerce, Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Our beloved Daddy, Herbert Hoover Davis, age 95, left his earthly home to advance to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He had a peaceful homegoing. Herbert "H.H." was born September 14, 1929, in Sunkist, Oklahoma to Gertrude Oma (Anderson) and William Ross Davis.

He attended school in Antlers, Oklahoma. On September 22, 1949, he married the love of his life, Reba, whom he affectionately called "Kip". They were married for 62 years and 9 months. To their union was born four children, Deatra, Rickey, Deborah, and Fara.

During his ministry, he and Reba pastored churches in Oklahoma, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Arkansas. During the time they spent pastoring, they made friends of a lifetime. Many people had stayed in close touch with them throughout their lifetime. They treasured people. His pastoral ministry spanned 42 years, after which he dedicated his life to Evangelism and Foreign Missions to Mexico, Africa, Russia, Vanuatu and five of the Native American Indian Reservations. In his pastime he enjoyed Big Game Hunting in Utah and Colorado and spending time in his woodworking shop where he created many gifts for his friends and family. After his wife's passing in 2012, his neighbors became part of his family. He loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. If you were fortunate enough to spend time with him on his front porch, you walked away with more wisdom and joy for having spent time in his presence. He cherished relationships with his loved ones and the many friends he made worldwide. He was a devoted husband, father, Papa, and brother. Above all, he loved and served faithfully his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

H. H. was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reba Davis; daughter, Deatra Burnam; son-in-law, Charles Burnam; daughter-in-law, Maxine Rester Davis; brother, William Ross Davis, Jr.; sisters, Lois Bell, Shirley Grantham and Patsy Hogan. He is survived by his son, Rickey Davis of Franklinton, Louisiana; daughters, Deborah Pratt and her husband Gary of Lawton, Oklahoma, Fara Dyer and her husband Ed of Grand Junction, Colorado; brothers, Troy Davis of Gladewater, Texas, Dr. Clint Davis  and his wife Dee of Sherman, Texas; sister, Quannah Reed of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Charla Adamo and her husband Steve, Kevin Burnam and his wife Melissa, Jason Harvison and his wife Carmen, Jill Breazeale and her husband James, Cindy Watkins and her husband Jason, Shanda Patterson and her husband Adolfo, Matthew Pratt and his wife Lisa, Brad Flanagan and his fiancé Jamie, Jamie Rickard and her husband Scott; 22 great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
