God's Infinite wisdom has plucked another beautiful flower.
Isom Mae Davis was born to Isom and Annie Jackson on March 17, 1939 in Ardmore, OK. She resided there most of her life. She attended Ardmore Dunbar and Douglas where she graduated with the Class of 1956. Isom was a majorette during her high school years. She participated in homemaker's class and other activities within the school.
Isom pursued her education and worked for the Department of Human Services for many years before her retirement. Her hobbies included writing, gardening, and crocheting, and very good at them all.
Isom married Rev. Kenneth Davis, Sr. where he pastored at the Macedonia Baptist Church. She held the title of 1 st Lady and was over the music ministry department. To this union they parented four children, and nurtured a host of others. She was well loved by many.
She later moved to Pauls Valley, OK, where she worked as a human resource officer for Viskase & Kirkwood and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Isom was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and daughter Kelli White.
Her memories will always be cherished with her children, B. Kim Fields of Pauls Valley, Kerri Carr, and Kent Davis of Ardmore; grandchildren Adrean White, Joshua Fields, Kiawn Fields, Chalis Davis, Tyrell Carr, Dijon Davis, (Rebekah) Kelsey Stewart, and Aries Davis; great grandchildren Audrey White, Amirah and Aviannah Carr; brother George Jackson of Colorado; numerous nieces and cousins; and special friend Robert Walker.
A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020.
