James "Skip" Ledbetter, 73, formerly of Coalgate, Ok passed this life on December 23, 2023 in Marietta do to a 15 year battle with Parkinson's.  James was born to James and Louie Mae (Burleson) Ledbetter on September 7, 1950, in Coalgate. He was a graduate of Coalgate High School.

James worked at Ethan Allen Distribution for 43 years starting out as a truck driver, then Asst. Manager and retired as Manager.

He met the love of his life, Glenda, in 1995. The two were married on July 7, 1998, in Ft Smith, Arkansas. He loved to go dancing, fishing, and hunting.

James had three stepchildren whom all adored James as their dad, Joshua and Rose Burnett, Justin Burnett, Nicole, and Mark Elkins. Grandchildren Grace and Gavin Burnett, Kennedy, Tucker, and Tate Elkins. His children, Bryan Ledbetter, Melinda Harden. Grandchildren, AJ Ledbetter, Bri and Abby Heathcock and Madison Cook. Lifetime close friends, Mike Jones, and Larry McCurry.  He is also survived by one brother, Eddie Ledbetter of Wewoka, OK, Brother in Law's and Sister in Laws, Dale and Patricia Meeks of Muskogee, Ok, Robert and Alicia Meeks of McAlester, Ok, Glen Meeks, Joe Meeks and Rose Meeks of Stillwater, Ok.

He was preceded in death by, his parents, James and Louie May Ledbetter, brothers and sister in laws, Michael Meeks, James Meeks, Harold Meeks, Gerald and Twana Meeks, Lela Meeks, and friend Larry McCurry.
