Funeral services for James Wesley Wright are scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Terry Tolbert officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will host a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6-7 at the funeral home.
James was born on January 13, 1940, in Ardmore to John Wesley and Cloe (Ezell) Wright. He passed this life on January 20, 2026, at his residence in Ardmore.
James and Lynda McMullin were married on August 10, 1959, in Gainesville, Tx. James worked as a Machinist for Halliburton, among many other careers in his lifetime. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
James was initiated into Masonry on Feb 8th, 1977, and was a charter member of India 551, Worshipful Master in Ardmore, 1980, and continued his support to the Shriners Hospital for Children until his passing.
James is survived by his wife, Lynda, of the home; two sons, Robert Wright and his wife Debbie of Ardmore, and Ronnie and his wife Bobbi of Tishomingo, Ok; 2 sisters, Betty Hill of Lubbock, Tx, and LaVonn and Ernie Rocha of Lubbock. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents and one son, Jimmy Wright and one brother Kenneth Aldridge.
Serving as Pallbearers will be David Woerz, Greg King, Jayme Wright, Trace Palmer, Brett Byrne, and Cameron Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers are Warren Harriott, Mark Ellis, Harry Spring, Ed Brown, Jimmy Hughes, and Richard Massad.
Memorial may be left to The Shriners Hospital in Shreveport, La.
