A Mass of Christian Burial for Jason Thomas “J.T.” DeBerry will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Thomas More Parish & Student Center, 100 Stinson Street, Norman, Oklahoma with Father Brian Buetter officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Weems, Chris Mallow, Kyle Craighead, Jeremy Cowan, Sheppard McConnell, and Eric Bowien. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at St. Thomas More from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Crinerville Cemetery, with Dustin Gardner officiating and Derek Gardner, Dustin Gardner, David Lynn Gardner, Brandon Martin, Jack Weems, and Kyle Craighead serving as pallbearers.
Jason was born Friday January 16, 1987, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Gregory Lee and Rhonda Renee (Gardner) DeBerry and died Sunday May 31, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 39 years, 4 months and 15 days.
As a child, J.T. attended Charles Evans Elementary School, and graduated from Ardmore High School with the Class of 2005. He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He was currently working for BancFirst as a Trust Compliance Coordinator. He married Lindsey Michelle Grego in Norman, Oklahoma, Saturday, February 20, 2016, and had just celebrated their 10th anniversary. He was an avid OU fan and had begun attending OU football games when he was about 5 years old with his dad and brother. His love of football led to his officiating football games for the past 6 seasons. His officiating crew became a second family to him. There was never a doubt that he loved his wife, kids and family.
J.T. is preceded in death by his father, Gregory Lee Deberry on February 16, 2024, his brother, Justin Lee DeBerry on November 16, 2024, and a daughter, Faith Lee DeBerry. He is survived by his wife, Lindsey DeBerry; children, Jack Weems, Raphael Deberry, James DeBerry, Mary DeBerry, and Margaret DeBerry; mother, Renee Deberry; sister-in-law, Nohemi DeBerry; niece Alice Deberry, and numerous friends.
