Obituary

Jayson Holt Wells was born June 26, 1971 in Ardmore, OK. Two days later he was "selected" and became the son of Steve and Penny Wells. There he experienced a childhood where he loved his family and was loved and adored by his parents, sister, grandparents, and aunts and uncles.

Jayson attended Franklin Elementary and was remembered there for his acapella rendition of Kenny Rogers "The Gambler". He graduated from Ardmore High School in the class of 1989. He later attended and graduated from Missouri Southern University in December of 2000 with a degree in Business Administration. Jayson's mental ability allowed him to pass any test he ever tried and remembered facts and figures that many could not even recall hearing about. This ability allowed him to always remember the perfect gift that you wanted, even when you didn't remember expressing it to anyone.

He was baptized by Richard Hopper at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma on May 26, 1981 and attended Sunday school class and went to Falls Creek as well as going on mission trips with the other youth.

Jayson passed and was a journeyman plumber as well as a licensed commercial truck driver. He worked for various employers in the Ardmore area.

Jayson left to be with his Lord and eternal family on November 9 th , 2021.

Jayson was preceded in death by his grandparents J.V. and Alta Wells and Hoyle and Arlene Holt as well as his aunts Becky Holt and Carol Harrell.

He is survived by his parents Steve and Penny Wells; sister Julie Pino and her fiance Reed Holden; niece Isabella Pino and nephews Gunner, Cruz, and  Gage Pino; uncle Greg and aunt Eva Wells; uncle Paul Harrell; cousins Keaton and Natalie Wells and Amber Freeman.

He loved to travel and would always do so to see an eclipse in Kentucky or to attend the next Phish concert.

Jayson was somewhat of a Trekkie and would likely have wanted his parting remark to be "Live long and prosper".

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, November 15 th at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore with the Rev. David Daniel officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 to 5:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
