Funeral Services for Betty Jean "Jeanie" Brewster will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Ardmore with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Private, family, burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Ardmore with Jeremiah Vaughan, James Byrd, Gunner Northcutt, Garrett Clark, Matt Irvine, Rocky Northcutt, Jim Vaughan, and Jim Byrd assisting as pallbearers.
Jeanie was born October 17, 1934, in Hope Mills, North Carolina to Emmett Gleason Arnette and Reba Erline Reynolds Arnette and died June 7, 2023, in Marietta, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Jeanie held a BSN (Bachelor of Science, Nursing) degree and spent many years as a Certified OBGYN Nurse and was especially proud of the fact that she worked for over 40 years with Doctor Becker and Doctor Snedegar. She also held an RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) from Yale University. Jeanie had a lifelong service to the Lord. She taught Sunday School most of her adult life and had participated in 33 mission trips. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married James General "Jim" Brewster on August 26, 1955, in Bennettsville, South Carolina and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on April 12, 2013. Throughout their marriage, they lived by Romans 8:28. She is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nell Wade and Alice Davis and a grandson, Joshua Vaughan.
Jeanie is survived by her daughters, Vicki Vaughan and her husband Jim of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathi Byrd and her husband Jim of Wellington, Florida, Cheryl Northcutt and her husband Rocky of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jeremiah Vaughan, James Byrd, Jennifer Byrd Irvine, Marissa Northcutt Clark, and Gunner Northcutt; great-grandchildren, Gracie Clark, James Jackson Byrd, Rett Clark, Reese Clark, Juliette Byrd, Rylie Northcutt, River Northcutt, and Ryder Northcutt.
