Funeral services for Jimmy Matlock are scheduled for Friday, March 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ted Matlock officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Jimmy William Matlock was born May 16, 1942 to Floye Burns and John William Matlock in Fort Smith, AR. He passed from this life on March 18, 2019 at the age of 76.

Jimmy was a graduate of Bellflower High School in California, class of 1960.  On September 20, 1974 he married Marilyn Shannon in Norco, CA. Together they moved to Ardmore and Jimmy began working for Joe Brown Company where he stayed for 28 years. In 2009 he received an award for traveling 5 million miles without an accident. Jimmy was a member of the Oklahoma Trucking Association and the Provence Assembly of God.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Floye Matlock.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Matlock of the home; daughter Shari Ann Waltz and her husband Josh of Des Moines, IA; sons Johnny William Matlock and his wife Kim of Ottumwa, IA and Kirk William Matlock of Ottumwa, IA; brother Ted Matlock and his wife Nancy of Booneville, AR; sister Patsy Harper of Spiro, OK; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Mike Matlock, Teddy Matlock, Jr., Raymond Jones, T.J. Gall, Brandon Kirkman and Josh Waltz.
