Obituary

Funeral services for Joe David Hutchins Sr., 86 are scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Craddock memorial Chapel with son-in-law Cord Fowler officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Joe David Hutchins Sr. was born May 18, 1932 in Ardmore to Leslie William and Mary Clementine (Green) Hutchins.  He passed this life on March 3, 2019 at his residence in Ardmore.

He and Thalia Ann Beane were married July 29, 1976 in McKinney, Tx. He worked as a Draftsman for Joe Kennedy, Architect and as an Engineer for Chickasaw Telephone Company.  He was an aviator and loved to build his own planes.  He once started building a plane in the family living room.  He was also a Hamm Radio operator and was known on the CB radio by the handle "Airplane Man".

He and Ann were members of the Merrick Drive Church of Christ. He served his country in the United States Army for two years and the United States Airforce for four years, serving during the Korean conflict.

Joe is survived by his two daughters, Katherine Prince and her husband Steve of Midwest City, OK and Kimberly Fowler and her husband Cord of Yukon, OK; Grandchildren: Karen Rowland and husband Jeremy, Rebecca Gather and husband Joshua, Jessica Dornbos and husband Travis,  and McKenna Kuykendall and husband, Kyle; Great Grandchildren: Adrienne, Maya and Allie Rowland, Elijah, Jack , Katie, Luke and Nate Gather, Annabelle Dornbos and Aubrey Kuykendall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Thalia Ann Hutchins; son, Joe David Hutchins, Jr. and a brother, Huel Hutchins.
