Joe Dee Roberts

Funeral services for Joe Dee Roberts are scheduled for 2:00 Monday afternoon in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Reverend Les Bussell officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove West Cemetery. The family will also have a visitation night on Sunday evening from 5-6 pm.

Joe Dee Roberts was born March 31, 1940 to Buster Brown Taylor Roberts and Thelma Tucker. He lived in Duncan, Oklahoma, Lubbock, Texas, Irving, Texas & eventually Lone Grove, Oklahoma. He passed this life on June 5, 2026, in a local Hospital.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sisters Glorya Burch and Ruby Lewellan and great granddaughter, Lillian Maria Johnson.

He and Jenny Stogsdill were married on January 8 , 1960. He finished his working career as a Concrete Superintendent where he was in charge of many large pouring projects in the North Texas area including the DFW Airport, Reunion Tower & a Dallas Cowboy facility.

Joe was a loving husband for 65 years and a devoted father to his three girls. Their family grew with many adored grand and great grandchildren. He loved his family, friends & everyone he met. Other things he loved were hunting, golfing, friendships, his Lone Grove and Wilson church families, the Ardmore Chickasaw senior site, Noonday Onions and Ofie.

He is survived by his three daughters, Jana Sloan and her husband Morris, Shawnna Johnson and her husband Gerald and Gina Taylor and her husband Todd; sister, Martha Hunnicutt; Nephews, Randy Putman, Ricky Putman, Rusty Putman and Damon Merriman. Grandchildren, Courtney (Carey) Lee and their children Braxton and Bellamy, Kennedi (Cooper) Ratliff and their children Bexleigh and Cutter, Kylee (Hunter) Treadwell and their child, Grace, Elizabeth (Geoff) Hodge and their children Miranda and Anthony, Kristopher (Lauren) Johnson and their children Henry and Sammy, Mark (Friederike) Johnson and their children Thomas and Kathleen, Joseph (Dayna) Johnson and their child MacKenzie, Robert (Reide) Johnson and their children Bentley, Connor, Gunner & Harper, Danielle (Aaron) Clements and their child, Sutton, Dixie (Brody) Wilson and their children Bear & Birdie, Delaney and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and anyone else who considered themselves family.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Joseph Johnson, Robert Johnson, Cooper Ratliff , Hunter Treadwell, Aaron Clements, Brody Wilson and Jody Putnam.
