Graveside services for Joel Dishman are scheduled for Monday, January 9 ^th at 10:00 a.m. at Rosehill Cemetery with Chaplain Justin Evans officiating.

Joel Dishman was born July 3, 1961 to Helen (Briscoe) and Jimmy Dishman in Ardmore, OK. He passed from this life on January 5, 2023 at the age of 61.

Joel was a graduate of Ardmore High School in the class of 1979. He received an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts in 1986 through Oklmulgee Tech through OSU. Joel was a cook at the Lake Murray Lodge.

Joel enjoyed listening to music as well as playing. He loved playing the drums and guitar. In his free time he loved to fish, cook, and spend time with his family and friends. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Helen Dishman; grandparents J.W. and Myrl Dishman; and Uncles Billy Joe Dishman and Johnny Dishman.

He is survived by his daughter Stacy Yarbrough and her husband Dwayne of Fletcher; son John Dishman of Lawton; sisters Donna Blount and her husband Robert and Sheila Wood and her husband Tony; brother Billy Jack Eaves and his wife Amy; grandchildren Paityn Herriage and Zachary Herriage; 4 step grandchildren and their spouses; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Traditions Health and Hospice and West Wind Assisted Living in Marlow for the excellent care Joel received. Also, a special thank you to his "girlfriend" Cat.
