John Marshall Cowan was born January 17, 1932, in Pauls Valley to Edgar and
Nonnie (Colley) Cowan. He passed this life on September 12, 2022, in Ardmore.
Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, September 19 th at 10:00am in Rose Hill
Cemetery with Randy McFarland officiating. A visitation will be held on Sunday
afternoon from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at the Craddock Funeral Home.
John graduated from East Central State University with his master's degree in
Education. He worked and retired from the Ardmore School System as an Educator.
He and Sue were faithful members of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore.
He and Sue Ravan were married on January 21, 1955, in Fox, OK. She preceded him
in death on August 6, 2019.
John is survived by his two sons; John Cowan and his wife Lisa of Fort Worth, TX.;
Ted Cowan and his wife Lisa of Ardmore, OK.; grandchildren, Scott Cowan of Fort
Worth, TX. Cari Ralls and husband, Dale of Ardmore, OK, Mark Cowan of Fort
Worth, TX., Katie Crooks and husband, Reed of Little Elm, TX.; Great
Grandchildren, Lily Ralls, Sadie Cowan, Addison Cowan, and Lance Crooks.
