John (Jack) A Gelona Jr., 94 passed over the bridge into eternity on February 8, 2026.   Jack was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey on April 7, 1931 to John Sr. and Velma Gelona. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois, and youngest son, Jeffrey Logan Gelona. After graduating from high school, Jack enlisted in the Navy.  During his service, he met and married his soul mate and lifelong partner, Lois Ann Logan.  Jack and Lois celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2013. In those 60 years they called Norfolk, VA, Richmond, VA, Louisville, KY, Cleveland, OH, Charlotte, NC and Ardmore, OK home.  After his service in the Navy, Jack worked as a salesman for Sears & Roebuck.  He then had a 30 year career with the National Gypsum Company.  He started as a salesman and through hard work, progressed to the Corporate Director of Marketing, all without a college education.  Through the years, as a family, they loved their activities: working with church youth groups, camping, golfing and playing Bridge with church friends. Jack also served as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for 20 years and was a member of the Sunshine Rotary Club for several years.  Jack was a Christian with a great faith and knowledge in God's word. He worshipped at The Family of God Fellowship and Merrick Road Church of Christ in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Jack retired to Ardmore, Oklahoma in 1993, where he enjoyed the occasional cruise with Lois, fishing, and playing golf at Dornick Hills.  Jack is survived by his brother Robert (Bob) Anthony Gelona and his wife Donna, their son Tony and family, Jack's son John Gelona, III, his daughter-in-law Vicki Gelona, his grandchildren Christina Gelona Hendricks, Carla Vermillion, Nick Gelona, Joshua Gelona, great grandchild Rosalie Vermillion and of course his beloved cat Callie. There will be a private family gathering at the Craddock Funeral Home Columbarium for his inurnment.
