JoLynn (Lasley) Doty was born August 29, 1952 to Sue (Zelner) and Joe Lasley in Ardmore, OK. She passed from this life on November 9, 2024 at the age of 72.

JoLynn was a graduate of Ardmore High School in the class of 1970. Upon graduation she enrolled at Central State. After spending 1 year at Central State she transferred to Cameron University to be closer to the love of her life. On May 26, 1973 she married George Doty in Ardmore, OK. She eventually finished her degree in Education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. After graduation JoLynn spent her career as an elementary teacher for Ardmore and Dickson schools.

JoLynn was a very talented pianist. She played the piano for several churches throughout her life. JoLynn enjoyed crafting, creating custom cards, crocheting, and taking care of her plants. Above all other hobbies JoLynn loved being a Mimi to her grandkids and you could often find her baking cookies or playing playdoh with them.

JoLynn was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lasley, and Gene and Sue Gamble.

She is survived by her husband George Doty; son Garrett Doty; daughter Audra Doty; grandchildren Evin, Serenity, and Lucas Doty; and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Southwest Baptist Church with Wayne Fagala officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson, OK.
