Funeral services for Joyce Burns are scheduled for Monday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at McMillan cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Joyce Burns was born November 17th, 1938 to Dorothy Lois (Gray) and Philip Griffin Biles in Houston, TX. She passed from this life on October 18, 2018 at the age of 79.

Joyce was a graduate from Madill High School in the class of 1956.  On August 9, 1958 she married Jack Burns in Ardmore, OK where they made their home. Joyce worked in the finance industry for 20 years before retiring. Upon her retirement in finance she returned to work as a retail manager for the Chickasaw Nation for more than 18 years. Joyce was known for her feisty spirit and red T-Bird. Joyce enjoyed watching all sports (especially watching OU and Dallas Cowboy football), shopping, and spending time with her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Philip "Griffin" and Dorothy "Lois" Biles; husband Jack Burns; daughter Sonya Pool; and brother Philip Griffin Biles, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Gay Atkins and her husband Tom of Ardmore; grandchildren Monica Hull of Ardmore, Courtney Hull of Arcadia, OK, and Jaclyn Hull and her fiancé Scott Woods of Ardmore; great grandchildren Casper Bolding, Brooke Bolding, Nicolas Gonzalez, Alaina Gonzalez, Rylee Waltrip, and Trent Boswell.

Scott Woods, Kurtis Perkins, Tom Atkins, Gray McWha, Cole McWha, and Shane McWha will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers are Kenneth Miller, Robert Burns, and Mickey Burns.
