Philip's Episcopal Church, 516 McLish, Ardmore, Oklahoma with Rev. Michael P. Stephenson
officiating.

Judy Bacon was born on February 28, 1946 in Vernon, Texas and died on June 18, 2023 in
Ardmore, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Guy Bacon, son Scott
Edward Seely and his wife Tammie Seely of Ardmore, Oklahoma and grandson, Trevor Scott
Seely of Ada, Oklahoma. She is also survived by O.G. Bacon and his wife Heather Bacon of
Houston, Texas, as well as her brother Robert Daughtry of Bratleboro, Vermont, nephew Paul
Daughtry of Springfield, Oregon and many nieces, nephews and friends–all of whom adored
her.

Judy attended North Texas State University until she began an exciting career as a flight
attendant for American Airlines. In 1971 she joined the start-up Southwest Airlines and was in
its second flight attendant class. She was an immediate hit at Southwest where she was
nominated as "Hostess of the Month in October 1971." The Southwest Magazine described
Judy as: "A peppy, blue eyed brunette who is the warmth of Christmas and the sparkle of July
4th wrapped in one trim package."

Judy was magnetic with a lovely smile. She had an open and engaging manner and sense of
humor. People were drawn to her and she enjoyed being around people. There was always
time for a sincere and friendly greeting and a good story.

Judy loved traveling with friends and family and designing costumes for just about every event
possible. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed nothing more than love, fun and appreciation
around her table. She was elected to the Vestry at St. Philip's Church in Ardmore and
volunteered to serve on many events including as a Chair for the Bazaar Fundraiser.
In 1977, Judy met Guy Bacon who quickly announced his intentions by informing her: "I think
we'll be carrying our money in the same sack." Her flying career ended in glory soon thereafter
when she married Guy and moved with him to Ardmore. She lived there happily surrounded by
friends (old and new) and family until the day she left us with tears in our eyes.

Judy's family knew her as a good wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt; her co-workers
knew her as a wonderful and fun colleague; many of you knew her as a good friend. All knew
her as a graceful and beautiful angel who walked this earth disguised as a person.
"Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things
are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,and if
there be any praise, think on these things."
