Obituary

Funeral Services for Judith "Judy" Yandell Day are scheduled for Wednesday, October 26 th at 10:00 am in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. David Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne, Ok.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, October 25 th from 6-7 pm.

Judy was born December 15 th , 1944, in Long Beach, CA. to Jessie Andrew "Jay" and Eunice (Bowman)

Yandell.  She passed this life on October 21 st , 2022, in Ardmore.

Judy graduated from Ardmore High School in 1963 and moved on to earn her bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.   She was raised in Ardmore, but throughout her life she lived in several places in Texas before moving back home for good in 2000.  From 1989 to 1995 Judy was the Community Revitalization Coordinator for Gainesville, Texas and from 1996 to 2012 she was the Human Resources Director at the Best Buy Distribution Center in Ardmore.  She retired from Best Buy in 2012 and enjoyed her retirement to the fullest surrounded by friends and family that she loved dearly.  Judy also enjoyed serving her community.  She was a member of the Elks Lodge, and she served as a member of the Grace Center Board as well as the YWCA Board of Directors for many years.

She is survived by her significant other, Rick Watson of Ardmore; son, Alan Day and significant other Kristi Fancett of Springfield, Louisiana; daughter, Julie Brisley and husband Abe of Denton, Texas.  Grandchildren, Ashley Hardin and husband Shane of Kennard, Texas, Kaylee Day of Ardmore, Austin Brisley of Denton, Texas, two great grandchildren, Michael and Lorelei Hardin of Kennard, Texas.  Brother Don Yandell and wife Kay of Gunter, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Roger Day, Rodney Day, Brandon Bean, Colin Watson, Abe Brisley and Bob Singleton.  Austin Brisley will be an honorary pallbearer.
