She spent most of her childhood in the Texas panhandle area and attended Borger High School. Judy met the love of her life Ellis Hurst in Dodge City, Kansas in 1975 and they remained together until his passing in March of 1996. She worked at Walmart for almost 18 years, most of those years in Dodge City, Kansas. Her Wal-Mart family meant a lot to her. She moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma in 2003. After her career at Walmart, Judy worked at Tucker's Tower at Lake Murray for several years in the nature center. She had a deep love of nature and animals. And enjoyed educating all the visitors that came to Tucker's Tower. Her most joyful times were spent with family, especially grandkids and all her nieces and nephews.
