On Friday, December 9, 2022, Charlene (Kay) Coates, loving wife and mother of 4 children, entered her eternal life at the age of 78. She was born on March 1, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to R.A. and Ruby Mae (Brogdon) Huff. Her spirit is carried on by her 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Kay enjoyed life by taking care of others (especially dogs). She loved her family and took pride in raising her children (and her dogs). We can't remember a time where she wasn't loving those dogs too! another one of her past time hobbies were to frequent the casinos, bingo halls or almost anything that just provided her a fun social life. Kay was a kind, social person that just enjoyed life to the best. She loved taking pictures and sharing them with others as evidenced by all the cookie tins she stored them in. In

1977, Kay married Raymond Coates in Alaska and have spent 45 years together.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond, Lone Grove, OK; daughters: Correna Garrison of Lone Grove, OK, Roberta J. Steeves of Thornton, CO, and Jennifer Bookout of Loxley, AL and son, Stephen Myers and his wife Leticia of Granbury, TX. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Dale Huff, Ft. Worth, TX; sisters, Joyce Robbins of Lone Grove, Diane Ashley of Ardmore and Alice McKenzie and husband Mark of Gillette, WY. Kay is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Josh Warren, Erin Brown, Sarah Steeves, Chandler Steeves, Tayler Myers and Danielle Myers; Great Grandchildren: Kyaira Warren, Ethan Warren, Fae Brown and Bruce Wayne Palazon.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother, Charles Ray Huff; brother, Gary Huff; Sisters,

Kathrine Brummett and Sue Talkington.

A memorial service for Charlene (Kay) Coates will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 3:00 pm

in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Kirby officiating.
